這些檔案被放置在名叫 pld 的資料夾中。這裡有兩個一樣的資料夾，一個是 leon 部分/盤（ pl0 ），另一個是 claire 部分/盤（ pl1 ）。這些資料夾的改變會影響一些特定情節。所有檔案都以 pld為副檔名。這些檔名中有ch 的檔案（ pl00ch.pld ）是為終極戰鬥的選擇畫面而設計的模型。這些模型是可操作的，但是也很容易使遊戲崩潰。

dreamcast 版和 pc 版很相近。如果他們曾經在美國發布了 pc版，那麼他們可能將所有的檔案都壓縮起來。如果這樣，你可能需要改寫 bio3.ini 來看看 pld 的目錄，你可以覆蓋psx 版本。這些檔案同樣被放置在 pld 資料夾中。這些檔案的副檔名是 pld 。檔名中有 ch （pl00ch.pld ）的是為了僱傭兵模式任務選擇畫面而製作的模型。他們有一些是可操作的，但是很容易破壞遊戲。

修改辦法：以惡靈古堡２為例：

將pl0b更名為pl00並替換原來的pl00，遊戲中的leon就變成了chris。當然，要變更武器也可以，詳見後面的武器部分。
